Celebrating Our Easton Originals!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, and party like it’s, well…

It’s 1999.

There were 1 billion less people in the world.  We were just learning how to navigate the World Wide Web…excited to dial-up – and wait – to receive our electronic mail.  MySpace was just introduced to the public.  Remember that one?!  “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears was the biggest single of the year.  Justin Beiber was preparing for kindergarten.  We set our new Tivos to record the New Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano.  We laughed with Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris and Stewie.  The cast of “Freaks & Geeks” were complete unknowns.  A newly opened Crew Stadium answered prayers of soccer fans in Columbus.  “Polaris” was a place we went for outdoor concerts.

And Easton Town Center officially opened to the public on June 30!

Seventeen years later, there are 38 retail and dining locations that are still a part of the Easton family.  We proudly want to recognize our Easton Originals!

Easton’s Starbucks was the FIRST Starbucks to open in Columbus!  They opened June 24, 1999.  We’ve since perfected our Starbucks ordering lingo… “grande soy chai tea latte please.”

The architecture of Easton Town Center was designed to resemble a town: the Easton Station Building, a train station; Barnes & Noble, a library; and Pottery Barn, a movie theatre.

Mitchell’s Ocean Club was the first of its kind, and continues to top the “best of Columbus” seafood lists in 14 cities nationwide as Ocean Prime.

Funny Bone Comedy Club had a facelift in 2015 to bring you bigger and new comedy acts! The remodel introduced an upper mezzanine that can be rented out for groups as well.

Now with 64 locations across the country, Easton’s Brio Tuscan Grille was their first restaurant.  A true Easton Original!

Easton also was the first White Barn Candle location.
